There is a sacred rhythm to this weekend. A rhythm we don’t always slow down enough to feel.
Good Friday. Holy Saturday. Resurrection Sunday.
Three days. One story. Everything changed.
Let’s walk it together.
Good Friday: Love Poured Out
![]()
Jesus is on the cross. And yet… He is not defeated.
In many ancient icons, His face is calm. Peaceful. Steady.
Because this was not taken from Him. It was given.
At the foot of the cross stood His mother and John.
Love and sorrow… side by side.
And beneath the cross, a quiet symbol:
A skull. A reminder of Adam. A picture of all humanity.
This moment was not just suffering. It was substitution.
“It is finished.” (John 19:30)
The price was paid.
Love was poured out… completely.
Holy Saturday: The Silence That Wasn’t
The tomb is sealed. The stone is in place. Everything feels still.
This is the day we often overlook. The in-between.
The disciples didn’t understand.
Hope felt buried.
Heaven seemed silent.
What looked like silence… was anything but.
Scripture gives us a glimpse behind the silence. Jesus said:
“Today you will be with Me in paradise.” (Luke 23:43)
And we are told: He went and proclaimed victory. (1 Peter 3:19)
While the world saw stillness… Heaven was moving.
The Hidden Victory

This is the part many never see. Jesus descended into the depths.
Not to suffer. But to conquer. To declare victory over sin and death.
Ancient icons show Him standing over shattered gates…
Chains broken beneath His feet…
And reaching down…
Pulling Adam and Eve upward. Humanity itself being lifted.
He didn’t just rise. He rescued.
“He led captivity captive.” (Ephesians 4:8)
Resurrection Sunday: Victory Revealed

The stone is rolled away. The tomb is empty.
Light breaks through the darkness.
What was finished on the cross… Is now revealed in glory.
“He is not here; He has risen.” (Luke 24:6)
Death has lost its power. Hope is alive. Victory has a name.
Jesus.
The RHW Victory Lens
This story is not just something we remember.
It is something we live.
Because we all walk through these same places:
✝️ Moments of surrender
🌑 Seasons of silence
🌅 Breakthroughs of victory
And sometimes… we get stuck in the middle.
The in-between. Where nothing seems to be happening.
But Holy Saturday reminds us: God is still working.
Even when you cannot see it.
Even when you cannot feel it.
Even when the stone is still in place.
The greatest victory in history happened…
In hiddenness.
A Gentle Invitation
If you are in a waiting season today…
Stay.
Trust.
Hold on.
Because resurrection is not a possibility.
It is a promise.
The stone may still be in place…
But victory is already in motion.
